AMERA International is currently looking for volunteers, who can provide a minimum of one day per week, to work in the following areas:
- The Rights in Exile Programme – volunteers must have interest in and knowledge of refugee law
- Programming and administrative support
- Project development – we are looking for volunteers with a background in refugee law, mental health, and psychosocial support
Volunteers will work remotely, and will receive remote support, technical supervision and on-the-job training.

The Rights in Exile Programme provides internship opportunities. When we put out a call for applications, we strongly encourage that applicants have knowledge of or interest in learning about refugee issues, refugee law, and developing research skills, and have good English writing and computing skills. Individual projects within this work include LGBTI issues, family reunion, deportation and fundraising; French, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic and other language skills are a distinct asset.

Vacancies at organisations working on refugee legal aid
- St. Andrew’s Refugee Services (StARS) is looking for a Refugee Status Determination Coordinator. The coordinator will work in the busy Refugee Legal Aid Program at StARS implementing its legal representation for refugees in RSD processes. Deadline for applications is 13 July 2022.
